Fieldstone Apiaries

Dale and Elli first met at a beekeeping class they attended.  Dale was looking for another activity and outlet for his creativity.   Elli’s passion for beekeeping began years ago, upon reading her first book on the subject and discovering her grandfather was an avid beekeeper too. It wasn’t long before they both had a few hives of their own. What started out as a hobby, soon became a partnership in business and life; now a way of life, managing several hundred beehives, meeting lots of great people along the way.

Beekeeping has made them very aware of nature, health and environment, making them better stewards, through the wealth of knowledge they’ve obtained attending various beekeeping, queen rearing and a master beekeeping workshop held at various universities, industry meetings and lots of reading.

They enjoy sharing their knowledge of the benefits and uses of raw honey and educating people about all aspects of beekeeping. Due to a strong desire to create their own chemical free products, they have incorporated a variety of skincare and beeswax products to their product line. These items now complement their raw single sourced honey products.

They moved their business from Iowa to Minnesota in 2014, so they could be closer to their grandkids. They are proud members of the Minnesota Grown program, True Source Honey certification,  American Beekeepers Federation, Minnesota Honey Producers Association, The Xerces Society, and were active members of the Iowa Honey Producers Association (IHPA); Dale was an Education Committee member and Elli was VP and State Fair Honey Booth Manager for IHPA and the Minnesota Honey Producers Association and served on various boards.

They take great pride in what they do and the quality of their products and are proud of the blue ribbons won at State Fairs and service awards they have received.

Their apiary is located in the countryside, 2 miles east of the I-35 Elko exit.
